The Bell & Ross BR01 series was always intended to consist of “instrument” watches. Released in 2005 after Bell & Ross had moved to Chanel, the collection was inspired by the aircraft instrument dials the brand had encountered while working with its original German parent company, Sinn. In fact, the BR01's square case and efficient, super-legible design was essentially a scaled down version of these instruments. This limited edition takes the inspiration even further by referencing a specific cockpit instrument, the variometer, used for measuring an aircraft's rate of ascent/descent. Since a variometer only has one long hand, the hours and seconds have been shaded black, while the power reserve indicator has been highlighted in yellow. This Bell and Ross BR01-97 Climb has a Black Arabic dial and a Rubber strap.
